Terms & Conditions – Spice Tour

BOOKING

Your contract is with Spice Tour. A confirmed booking and receipt of your deposit form a binding agreement between you and us for your selected tour, hotel, or travel-related service.

PAYMENTS

To confirm your booking, a 50% advance payment is required. The balance must be paid before the commencement of your tour. Spice Tour reserves the right to adjust the advance based on the type of services and proximity to the travel date.

Full advance payment may be required for special train journeys or during peak seasons (e.g., Christmas, New Year, and major festivals).


PAYMENT METHODS

We accept payments through:

  • Credit card via our secure online payment gateway

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash at our office

  • Demand draft or cheque

All payments must be free of withholding tax or deductions. Any bank charges (sending or intermediary) are to be borne by the customer.


ITINERARY MODIFICATIONS

Once the tour has started, the itinerary will generally be followed as agreed. However, in the event of unexpected circumstances beyond our control, Spice Tour reserves the right to modify the itinerary for the safety and comfort of our guests.


CANCELLATION / NO SHOW / EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY

All cancellations must be received in writing. The cancellation charges are as follows:

  • 60+ days before arrival – 10% of tour/service cost

  • 59 to 30 days – 20%

  • 29 to 15 days – 25%

  • 14 to 08 days – 50%

  • 07 days or less / no show – No refund.

If a tour is cancelled after it begins, refunds (if any) will be based on what can be recovered from hotels or other vendors. No refund will be made for unused services.


REFUNDS

Refunds, where applicable, will only be issued to the person who made the original payment. The amount will be calculated based on the cancellation policy.

Please allow 2–4 weeks for processing due to banking procedures. Bank charges (for credit card/bank transfers) will be deducted from the refund amount.


LIMITATIONS & LIABILITIES

  • If there is any increase in taxes, fuel surcharges, entry fees, or government levies after booking, the additional cost will be borne by the guest.

  • Spice Tour acts solely as a coordinator between clients and third-party providers (hotels, airlines, transport services, etc.). We are not liable for delays, injuries, or losses caused by these providers.

  • Itineraries are samples and may change due to weather, road conditions, or other factors.

  • We are not responsible for natural calamities, accidents, flight disruptions, civil unrest, or unforeseen events.

  • Guests are responsible for securing appropriate travel insurance. We do not provide insurance for loss, illness, or theft.

  • All personal belongings are the sole responsibility of the guest.


PASSPORTS & VISAS

Foreign nationals (except Nepal and Bhutan) must hold a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity) and a valid Indian visa. Visa arrangements are not included in our packages.


HEALTH REGULATIONS

Guests suffering from contagious diseases will not be permitted to travel. If symptoms are noticed during the tour, the guest will be asked to leave for the safety of others and arrange their own return.


ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

  • Check-in: Between 12.00 – 15.00 hours

  • Check-out: Between 10.00 – 12.00 hours

Houseboats:
Check-in at 12.00 noon and check-out at 09.00 am the following day.

  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and additional charges.

  • Guaranteed early check-in requires booking from the previous night.
